Book Playlist: Love Me With Lies by Tarryn Fisher

Love Me With Lies Series
I finished reading Thief last night and I'm still experiencing the post-Tarryn-Fisher sicknessmeaning it still courses through my thoughts and I can't seem to move onI love this series no matter how much it hurt me to the point of making me cry then force me to love it again because of the beauty and reality of it all. It was like that, a cycle...a never ending cycle of love and hate, of trust and lies that render me speechless. The characters are flawed but those are what makes them real and the emotions raw. Man, I hate to say goodbye to the characters I grew to love and hate most especially to Caleb and Olivia so I've decided to create a playlist for their unconventional love story . I'm trying to embed a playlist, however, I don't know what's wrong because it doesn't work so I've listed them instead and highlight the lyrics which I think describe this series the most.

1. I Won't Lie – Go Radio

If I could take it all back
I could make it all right
You could be the best part of my life
I can tell you all night that I wanna be
The man I'm supposed to be
That...

I won't lie
I've waited a million hours just to say that
I will die if you leave me
You are the way my heart beats
And you are the words my tongue speaks
And I will die if you leave me

2. Time-Bomb – All Time Low

Got my heart in your hands
Like a time bomb ticking

It goes off, we start again
If it breaks, we fix it

Got your heart in my hands

Like a time bomb ticking

We should know better
But we won't let go

It was like a time bomb

Set it in motion
We knew that we were
Destined to explode
(Destined to explode)

And if I have to pull you

Out of the wreckage

You know I'm never gonna let you go

3. Wait for You – Elliott Yamin

What will it take to make you come back?
Girl, I told you what it is and it just ain't like that
No, why can't you look at me? You're still in love with me
Don't leave me crying

Baby, why can't we just, just start over again?
Get it back to the way it was
If you give me a chance I can love you right
But you're telling me it won't be enough

So baby, I will wait for you
'Cause I don't know what else I can do
Don't tell me I ran out of time
If it takes the rest of my life

4. I Must Be Dreaming – The Maine

Tell me that you love me.

And it'll be alright.
Are you thinking of me?
Just come with me tonight.
You know I need you.
Just like you need me.
Can't stop, Won't stop.
I must be dreaming.

5. When 3's A Crowd – A Day To Remember

So here we are again, in the same situation
I'm screaming at the top of my lungs and you're not saying a word
Did you just say what you mean?
Why can't you just mean what you said
When you said "No one can love you like me?"

These past four walls won't be the only thing that's keeping me from you
This distance could never hold this back (I need you)
So let's just take this time and we'll use this for reflection
And I'll see you in three days
And you'll think of me when you're next to him

Well that's a wrap up for my first book playlist! ;)
Here are snippets of my favourite quotes from the three books:

"Life does not accommodate you, it shatters you. Love is mean, but it's good. It keeps us alive."

Thief

“Love is illogical. You fall into it like a manhole. Then you're just stuck. You die in love more than you live in love.”
Dirty Red

"I think that after the first time you give your heart away, you never get it back. The rest of your life is just you pretending that you still have a heart."
The Opportunist

Review: Dirty Red (Love Me With Lies, #2) by Tarryn Fisher

Dirty Red (Love Me With Lies, #2)
Genre: NA Contemporary
Kindle Edition: 265 pages
Release Date: December 21st 2012
Purchase: Amazon

Dear Opportunist,

You thought you could take him from me, but you lost. Now, that he's mine I'll do anything to keep him. Do you doubt me? I have everything that was supposed to be yours. In case you were wondering; he doesn't ever think about you anymore. I won't let him go....ever.

Dirty Red

Leah Smith finally has everything she has ever wanted. Except she doesn't. Her marriage feels more like a loan than a lifelong commitment, and the image she has worked so hard to build is fraying before her eyes. With a new role and a past full of secrets, Leah must decide how far she is willing to go to keep what she has stolen.

Review

“Wow. Wow. HELL WOW!”

These were the words I utter after reading Dirty Red which was quite an intense, infuriating and brilliant read.  I almost hurl my phone on the wall every time Leah flips on her inner B-ness. It's good (and crazy) to finally be able to look on the point of view of the person who tries everything in her power to keep two people who love each other apart and mind you she was aggravating beyond imagination. I tried to give Leah her chance she---slightly---deserves because her actions might be just fruits of the difficulties she have suffered through her childhood but almost at every moment that I've made up my mind there'll be twists and exasperating things she'll do that would brought me back to keep her on the bad side. I've finally realized she deserved it after all (you'll know why when the bomb was dropped). She's a dirty fighter and she doesn't know how to set her boundaries between love and obsession plus she's full of insecurities. Well, if you're wondering she's not so bad most of the time...She seemed to have care, love and be thoughtful of another being especially when she have come to realize Estella's importance to her, as her mother. We were given glimpses of the good side of Leah and it's nice to know that underneath the personality she imposes her heart isn't all tainted black after all. Looking through her perspective of the past and the present may give us that impression.

I'm not a fan of Leah---I know most of us are---and there’s a LOT of things she had done which are really unforgivable but I hope in all of these things there is still something that could be saved. However, we’d all be certain that she isn't done yet with Caleb and Olivia.

Dirty Red is the sequel to the bestselling book by Tarryn Fisher, The Opportunist, which I highly recommend to you all if you haven't read yet because if you haven't then you are missing a lot! I never thought that this series could get more compelling and awesome.

Dirty Red is amazingly extraordinary and it completely blown me away.
Can I have the third book now, please? J

Author Bio
I would like to write a novel that every, single person loves, but not even J.K. Rowling could do that. Instead, I try to write stories that pull on people's emotions. I believe that sadness is the most powerful emotion, and swirled with regret the two become a dominating force. I love villains. Three of my favorites are Mother Gothel, Gaston and the Evil Queen who all suffered from a pretty wicked case of vanity (like me). I like to make these personality types the center of my stories.
