Friday Hops

Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Rachel at Parajunkee.
This week's question:
Talk about the book that most changed or influenced your life (was it a book that turned you into an average to avid readers, did it help you deal with a very difficult situation, does it bring you comfort every time you read it?)

First, I want to give the Twilight saga the credit for introducing me to the YA world. If I wasn't momentarily addicted to that series, I wouldn't have known that there are books that would influence who I am and my life. It was truly just after that series that I began reading and searching for good YA books. Another book that affected me greatly was The Book Thief by Mark Zusak. For some reason I thought about it for weeks and it even made me read several articles on the internet about the Holocaust. It was also because of The Book Thief that I started to appreciate Historical fiction books. I can't really choose a book or two and there's just so many books that influenced me, so I'll throw in The Hunger Games Trilogy and The Mortal Instruments series too. Those are all-time faves that have affected my obsession with YA books. :)

Book Blogger Hop

Book Blogger Hop is a weekly meme hosted by Crazy for Books for book bloggers and readers to connect and share our love of the written word and to connect with other bookworms, make new friends, support each other, share our love of books!
This week's question:
What is the one ARC you would love to get your hands on right now?

The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer
The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer. I'm dying to read it the moment I found out about this book!

TGIF is a weekly feature for Fridays hosted by Ginger at GReads! to re-cap the week’s posts and that has a different question each week.
This week's question:
Which books have affected you on a personal level and lingered on your mind long after you closed the pages?

Besides The Hunger Games trilogy, The Mortal Instruments, and The Book Thief I mentioned above, here's my list:
  • On The Jellicoe Road and The Piper's Son by Melina Marchetta. Enough said before I turn into a full-mode Marchetta fangirl again  which is everytime when I or someone talks about her. SHE'S AMAZING  .
  • The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen
  • The Chaos Walking Trilogy by Patrick Ness
  • The Sky Is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson
  • If I Stay and Where She Went by Gayle Forman
  • Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
  • The Demon King by Cinda Williams Chima
Don't forget to enter our giveaway here if you haven't! And check out my review of Vanish by Sophie Jordan. Have a great weekend everyone!

  1. I keep hearing so many great things about Melina Marchetta! I've read Saving Francesca and really need to pick up Jellicoe Road and her other books. I remember loving Saving Francesca in high school but didn't know she had other books out until like a year ago (yeah, I'm dumb).

    Love your choices! :)
