Review: Tiger's Destiny by Colleen Houck
Tiger's Destiny (The Tiger Saga #4)
Paperback: 464
Release date: September 4th, 2012
Publisher: Splinter
Goodreads Rating: 4.47
Goodreads Summary: With three of the goddess Durga's quests behind them, only one prophecy now stands in the way of Kelsey, Ren, and Kishan breaking the tiger's curse.
But the trio's greatest challenge awaits them: A life-endangering pursuit in search of Durga's final gift, the Rope of Fire, on the Andaman Islands in the Bay of Bengal. It's a race against time--and the evil sorcerer Lokesh--in this eagerly anticipated fourth volume in the bestselling Tiger's Curse series, which pits good against evil, tests the bonds of love and loyalty, and finally reveals the tigers' true destinies once and for all.
A smart phone tag code on the back cover links readers to the series website.
Fourth installment of the Tiger Saga which set off on Ren and Kishan looking for Kelsey Hayes after Lokesh abducted her. This time new adventures, new alliances and different creatures to meet in the realm of fire were laid on Kelsey and her tigers' paths on their quest to unite the Damon Amulet and break the curse that was cast upon the princes. Phoenix, blood drinkers called Rakshasas and walking corpses are just some of the creatures you will meet that makes the story more enchanting.
The last chapters of the book felt like this could pass as the final installment in the series because everything seemed to be perfect and the questions were now answered. I now wonder what to expect of the fifth book and I'm really excited. The tigers and Kelsey have fulfilled their destinies with heart wrenching sacrifices that changed not only their lives but also the people whom they love. There were no dull moments and it's truly a page-turner book, it has the kind of story you wanted to finish right away to know all the answers and yet when you near the last chapters you don't want it to end.
Beautifully written, extraordinary with invigorating characters full of fire in their spirit, action-packed,finding love and knowing that it is the only thing in the universe worth risking all for. Definitely must-read for everyone.

murky government secrets, with deadly consequences. Ronnie knows she should
walk away from Kalen before it's too late. Problem is, she's falling for him...
Can we choose who we fall in love with?
Do you ever felt somehow lost in a place or a moment that
something was not right or misplace but then as everything takes place you
realize you’re in the right set and it is all perfect?
That’s the thought that I felt with this book. When I first
read the title the first thing that comes to my mind was that it’s definitely
another paranormal book or somewhere in a fantasy genre but to my surprise it’s
not. I’m happy that I stumble with this book and was given a chance to review
it.
First Light is an action filled book with a perfect blend of romance in it.
Ronnie Rose is person who faces a lot of responsibility in her life. She loses
her father, there is a huge debt left in her sister and her hands, and her best
friend seems to be slipping away out of her life too. But when a mysterious guy
enters her somewhat jumble life everything changes. Kalen Smith is a
mysterious, protective, intelligent and of course handsome and hot guy*swoon*.
I liked how the author used both the protagonist to change each others life.
Ronnie let her self welcome new other things in life and meet other people as
well as Kalen. Ronnie became more responsible, strong, bold and independent
thorough out the story. The plot was poignant it really captured my taste for
mystery/thriller books. And it has snippet of Kalen’s past life which helps me
to understand more of him.
There were the old friends and new friends were built. I
totally love the other ‘Four Guys’—Nash, Laith even if sometimes he’s rude, Denver and of course Ace.
All of them brought something to the story that makes it more captivating and will
have you finished it in a day or less.
I felt that the end of the book was great
and I think that the book was good to be left like that. But there’s a sequel so…I have to wait...
But I’d be definitely happy to be one of the
first readers of it! Oh did I mention I was a sucker for action stories? And
because of it this book deserved a 4 hearts J
Born in London, an only child with an overactive imagination, Sam spent much of her childhood telling ghost stories to her younger cousins and dreaming about far away places. She graduated university with a BA in marketing, but it wasn't long before her passion for storytelling and travel got the better of her. She currently lives in Sydney, Australia, where you'll probably find her hidden away in the corner of a park somewhere - writing, reading, dreaming or watching movies on her iPad. She loves everything spy and assassin and has a slightly unhealthy obsession with Star Wars, mainly Darth Vader.

Chantal Boudreau's Playlist:
When I was asked what songs would make an appropriate playlist for my story “Octavia”, the first
thing that came to mind was that corny novelty song, “I Don’t Like Spiders and Snakes.” But truth is,
that’s not typical when it comes to the sort of music I prefer to listen to. I’m the type of writer who
draws inspiration from music and I‘d rather write to song than to silence – it stirs my creative juices.
I always have a playlist set up before I start writing a novel, but usually hit random play for my short
stories, enjoying the chaos for my shorter works. I have eclectic tastes, but I am definitely a fan of
alternative rock and some metal, so I looked to my favourites and came up with a playlist that I think
would make the perfect sound track for Octavia:
Fragile – Megan McCauley
Phobia – Kreator
Spiders – System of a Down
Fear Factory – Replica
Scars in the Making – Fuel
Dark Room (Instrumental) – Sarah Slean
Therapy – Finger Eleven
Spiderwebs – No Doubt
Sick – Evanescence
Had Enough – Breaking Benjamin
I would imagine these songs should give you a few hints at just what Octavia is all about, or at least
the list may have piqued your curiosity. If you want to know more, you can find “Octavia” and many
other chilling tales in Fear, a charity anthology from Crooked Cat which will be available as of
October 2012.
