My favorite would be M&M's, Butterfinger, and Cadbury! I have the worst sweet tooth and it doesn't help my pimple-prone skin at all.

Book Blogs That Make You Smile: Pick 5 book blogs you visit often & think others should, too.

Fiktshun - This was what inspired me to ask my two best friends and establish a book blog. Her reviews are remarkable and I'm a huge fan of her Random Thoughts posts. I'm just a silent fan, but I visit this blog regularly. Rachel, the admin, is probably one of the most generous bloggers out there. She hosts big giveaways and I was lucky enough to win once. The blog name is also clever! I asked her if it was inspired by Chaos Walking trilogy but she says it's not. I hope she decides to read it so she'll realize how awesome her blog name is.

Mundie Moms - Run by the coolest moms (besides my mom) in the planet, Mundie Moms updates about all things Cassandra Clare. This is the first book blog I've come across while surfing the net. I even spent hours back reading their posts. I was also already a huge fan of TMI back then. Even now, visiting Mundie Moms has become an almost daily routine for me.

GReads! - If you love Contemps like I do, Ginger's blog is a must-follow! I noticed that we have the same tastes in books and I highly enjoy reading her reviews. I also love her blog features and theme. I owe this blog so much because it introduced me to some of my all-time favorites like Stephen Chbosky's The Perks of Being a Wallflower and Melina Marchetta's The Piper's Son.

Down The Rabbit Hole - I'm inlove with this blog! Besides her awesome blog layout  I looove red  , Amber writes candid and thoughtful reviews. I've read a lot Fantasy books, some of which are my favorites, that her words influenced me to do so. It's been a great source for book recommendations!







Mockingjay.net, Down With The Capitol, The Hob - I can't really choose just one so I just picked these three Hunger Games sites that feeds my obsession for the trilogy.

Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys

I LOVE this book. It made me cry and all but I was kinda not satisfied with the ending. I wanted to find out the hows.. I can't really say it without revealing anything. But it's still a great book!

What are you most looking forward to this fall/autumn season – A particular book release? Halloween? The leaves changing color? Cooler temperatures? A vacation?

I can't wait for A Monster Calls, The Clockwork Prince, Lola and the Boy Next Door, The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer, The Faerie Ring, and Silence. I've been looking forward to the release of these books all year. Unfortunately, we only have dry and wet season here and it's wet season until next year of February. I also can't wait for our semestral break on October!!

If you could write yourself a part in a book, what book would it be and what role would you play in that book?

 I love Dystopian and Contemporary books, but for this one I think I'd choose to be in the world of Shadowhunters and Downworlders of The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare. Being a shadowhunter seems fun and I'd LOVE to meet guys like Jace and Simon.

Talk about the book that most changed or influenced your life (was it a book that turned you into an average to avid readers, did it help you deal with a very difficult situation, does it bring you comfort every time you read it?)

First, I want to give the Twilight saga the credit for introducing me to the YA world. If I wasn't momentarily addicted to that series, I wouldn't have known that there are books that would influence who I am and my life. It was truly just after that series that I began reading and searching for good YA books. Another book that affected me greatly was The Book Thief by Mark Zusak. For some reason I thought about it for weeks and it even made me read several articles on the internet about the Holocaust. It was also because of The Book Thief that I started to appreciate Historical fiction books. I can't really choose a book or two and there's just so many books that influenced me, so I'll throw in The Hunger Games Trilogy and The Mortal Instruments series too. Those are all-time faves that have affected my obsession with YA books. :)

What do I do when I'm not reading?

I either go to school, study at home, or attend school org meetings and school academic and social events. I'm a college freshie and I haven't been reading much these days (one book a week). I joined a political organization called Campus Alliance for Dedicated and Unified Action and the University of the Philippines Baguio Mountaineers    my heart rate's abnormal so the members decided I skip the 5, 10, and 15 kilometer-run training   ... add the Freshmen activities and parties until August that the school organized for us to feel welcomed as new scholars. Last week of July up to August first week will be our exam weeks. *sigh* That's why I have little time to check on blogs and to read and review books. Aside from school stuff, I've been doing a lot of house chores with my three housemates. I do the cooking, laundry, and dishes twice a week, unlike before when I'm at home with my family and slacking was one of my favorite hobbies. I'm also still trying to adjust to my new environment since my school is located in Baguio City, which is really far from Manila and home.

How/Where do you get your books? Do you buy them or go to the library? Is there a certain website you use like paperbackswap?

Most of my books are bought by me or sometimes my mom when the titles aren't available here and she orders from Book Depository for free shipping. I'm into newer YA books but unfortunately, our library doesn't have those. My other books were either gifted or won from giveaways while I get ARCs from Netgalley.

How many books do you read in a week? And in what format do you read them, or listen to them?

At the beginning of vacation last April, I read 4-5 books a week on e-book and paperpack/harback formats. Lately, I get to finish 2-3 since I have tons of advance reading materials for school on June. I'll be starting off college next next week so I'll be reading a lot less. Maybe a book a week. As for reading formats, I'd probably love e-books more if I have a Kindle so I'm saving up for one right now. :D

What book-to-movie adaption have you most liked?  Which have you disliked?

I loved all the movie adaptations of Harry Potter books! I don't think anyone would disagree to that.There are so much book-to-movie adaptations that I didn't like... but I'd pick Eclipse of the Twilight Saga.That book was my favorite among the four but they ruined the movie. We anticipated for months and even wore our Team Jacob shirts. Too bad it was so boring and I almost fell asleep in the theater.

Back to the Beginning: What was the 1st book you reviewed on your blog?

Me and my two other friends just started this blog last Sunday and so far, I've only posted one review and that will be of the Chaos Walking trilogy by Patrick Ness. I did a review for the whole trilogy because after finishing each one, I always pick up the next right after without writing my thoughts. I literally did nothing else besides eat, sleep, and bathe during that time. lol. I know I have no life. But seriously, if you haven't read Patrick Ness' masterpiece of a trilogy, I HIGHLY suggest you do.

I'd love to spend a day in a world Cassandra Clare created in The Mortal Instruments series. I'm a huge fan of hers and her series and being in the world of Shadowhunters and Downworlders would be exciting. Besides, I haven't been to New York so it would be a double win for me!
