Top 10 of 2012: Best Book Boyfriends

What is Top 10 of 2012? It’s a fun-filled week where we look back at some of the best of “all things books” of 2012 and what books we’re looking forward to in 2013.

This is an event hosted by Two Chick on BooksFiktshunConfessions of a BookaholicA Life Bound by Books and Magical Urban Fantasy. Below is the list of my (Dea) and Riz's top ten book boyfriends for 2012! Personally this is one of my favorite topics to list. You may check out my top ten book boyfriends of 2011 if you want. And again, in no particular order...

Of Poseidon (Of Poseidon, #1)
Galen Forza (Of Poseidon by Anna Banks)who wouldn't melt under his violet gaze? Galen is hot without trying (although he is TRYING to fit in with the humans) and I found myself swooning even more as I read his perspective. He is the sexiest merman on land and in water. - Dea

Effortless (Thoughtless, #2)
Kellan Kyle (Effortless by SC Stephens)Oh boy! Kellan Kyle...*sigh* reeks pure awesomeness and is scorching hot! He's so sweet, mostly when he made bunch of notes for Kiera left on different places while he's away for tour. Did I mention he's a rockstar? If only he's real I'd be his #1 fan. Kellan Kyle is the real deal! - Riz
The Fault in Our Stars
Augustus Waters (The Fault in Our Stars by John Green)Augustus, Augutus... I can't help but fall under the spell of this smart and charming guy. He's beautiful, but he can steal any girl's heart with his personality alone.  - Dea
Defiance (Defiance, #1)
Logan McEntire (Defiance by C.J. Redwine)Logan McEntire is a freakin' hot genius! He can also put up a fight and has a thing for inventing amazing things. He can also be caring and adorable. I love this boy. - Riz
Slumber (The Fade, #1)
Wolfe Stovia (Slumber by Samantha Young)He is tough and fierce and dangerous to his enemies but when it comes to Rogan, Wolfe is affectionate and every woman's dream. What I love most about him is his constant efforts to win Rogan's heart over. - Dea
Tiger's Destiny (The Tiger Saga, #4)
Ren Rajaram and Kishan Rajaram (Tiger's Destiny by Colleen Houck)Choosing between these two gorgeous brothers is tough. They're both swoon-worthy and are totally opposite. Ren is the romantic-type, has a knack for poetries and has a knee-weakening smile while Kishan is the competitive one, thoughtful and his golden eyes is sexy as hell. I love both tigers. - Riz
Obsidian (Lux, #1)
Daemon Black (Obsidian by Jennifer Armentrout) Daemon is protective,  arrogant and of course, hot. I mean, he's sizzling! I love how he shows the soft side of him without ruining his bad boy image. - Dea
Waterfall (River of Time, #1)
Marcelo Forrelli (Waterfall by Lisa T. Bergren)A knight in shining armor and every girl's dream come true. He's handsome, chivalrous and brave. What more a girl could wish for? - Riz
The Sea of Tranquility
Josh Bennett (The Sea of Tranquility) - "Josh F**king Bennett. By now, I'm pretty sure that if I were to find his birth certificate that is exactly what it would say.”  I tried resisting myself from sharing this quote, I really didI have a soft spot for Josh Bennett - the mysterious and brooding guy who builds things from wood and make it the sexiest thing to do. - Dea
My Life Next Door
Jase Garrett (My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick)He stole my heart! An epitome of a boy next door. Jase is so sweet, wears leather jacket and loves his family so much. He's simply perfect (and oh-so-hot). - Riz

Top Ten Week: Top 10 Book Boyfriends in 2011

Top Ten of 2011 hosted by Jaime & Patricia from Two Chicks on Books and Rachel from Fiktshun, Jessica from Confessions of a Bookaholic and Lisa from A Life Bound by Books. Today it's about my favorite list: Top 10 Book Boyfriends! Although this is quite another difficult one. There are gazillion gorgeous and amazing YA guys out there... how can I possibly just choose ten? So I decided to include an honorable mention list just so I wouldn't feel bad about not including some of my book boyfriends.  Again, In no particular order.

Clockwork Prince (The Infernal Devices, #2)Shatter Me (Shatter Me, #1)

\
Will Herondale and Jem Carstairs (Infernal Devices series by Cassandra Clare) - I know, I know I'm cheating again. But it doesn't seem right to list Will and not Jem. I loved them both (although I'm leaning more towards Will). These boys are captivating and I admire their loyalty towards each other. I even enjoy their bromance more so than their individual conversations with Tessa sometimes. I can't help but love both the emotionally broken and the physically broken Shadowhunters.

\
Adam Kent (Shatter Me by Tehereh Mafi) - oh, Juliette.. you lucky girl. He's immune to her lethal touch, but I don't know anyone who's immune to his charm and awesomeness.

The Exiled Queen (Seven Realms, #2)Divergent (Divergent, #1)

\
Han Alister (Seven Realms series by Cinda Williams Chima) - From my review: "I know all fantasy heroes are supposed to be awesome, but Han Alister is more than that. He has changed so much from being a thief to a talented wizard. His passion, courage and determination made him my favorite character not only in the series but also in all YA Fantasy books."

Four (Divergent by Veronica Roth) - He's strong, compelling, mysterious, and definitely dauntless. He
has the whole tough facade going on but deep inside he has a compassionate and loving heart.

The Piper's SonHalf-Blood (Covenant, #1)

Tom Mackee (The Piper's Son by Melina Marchetta) - I believe there are real-life Tom Mackees out there. He's complicated and broken and just different from the one I knew from Saving Francesca. Sure, he's flawed and he thinks he's a failure at age nineteen, but I'm glad his family and Tara got him back together.

Aiden (Covenant series by Jennifer Armentrout) - Cool, calm, and collected, Aiden reminds me of Dimitri from VA. But I swear I like Aiden more (being team Adrian and all). He's protective without being controlling, and he's one fine man.

The Iron Knight (Iron Fey, #4)Where She Went (If I Stay, #2)

Ash (Iron Fey series by Julie Kagawa) - He was distant and cold sometimes, but I melt every time he gets all romantic and serious to Meghan. He's tough and brave and oh so hot.

Adam Wilde (Where She Went by Gayle Forman) - I love my heroes messed up and intense. I felt his pain over losing the only girl he loved and unhappiness over his rock star status. He writes music, so it was an auto-love for me... plus he's so swoon-worthy.

Rules of Attraction (Perfect Chemistry, #2)Anna and the French Kiss

Fuentes Brothers (Perfect Chemistry series by Gayle Forman) - I've read all three books this year, and boy am I so glad I did. Alex, Carlos, and Luis are three smokin' brothers I just wish were real. And I love 'em all equally.

Etienne St. Claire (Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins) - Just thinking about his name makes me swoon. He has a British accent for Pete's sake! He's funny and sweet and just.. perfect. I can gush about him all day.

Honorable Mentions

Vincent and Jules (Die for Me by Amy Plum)
Matt and Finn Watkins (Flat-Out Love by Jessica Park)

 Significance (Significance, #1)Going Too Far
Caleb Jacobson (Significance by Shelley Crane)
John After (Going Too Far by Jennifer Echols)

The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer (Mara Dyer, #1)Saving June
Noah Shaw (The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin)
Jacob Talon (Saving June by Hannah Harrington)
