When Megan Rosenberg moves to Ireland, everything in her life seems to fall into place. After growing up in America, she's surprised to find herself feeling at home in her new school. She connects with a group of friends, and she is instantly drawn to darkly handsome Adam DeRÍs.
But Megan is about to discover that her feelings for Adam are tied to a fate that was sealed long ago—and that the passion and power that brought them together could be their ultimate destruction.
First of all I'm happy to read this book though it may be one of the books that has some similarities to other "you-know' novels, don't worry it happens all the time.
Let's start with the things I somehow don't like...
It started again with the new school thing, like the other story, and with the hot-guy-isolated-family which is the DeRis. Megan's characteristic was kinda frustrating; sometimes she's shy and insensitive, sometimes I just wanna say to her to 'go for it!'
things I really love...
Okay, so the plot was kind of akin to others as I said earlier but the thing is it's fast-paced, you know the kind of story that doesn't waste their time talking all the good stuff about the guy, and how the girl was deeply, unconditionally in-love with him. The love story of Megan and Adam was in sense of balance. Megan has her time with her friends, Caitlin and Jennifer. While Adam has his own time with his family and 'the secret' (ha-ha I don't want to be a spoiler), he is also a straight-forward guy and I really adore it, I mean he just declare his feelings and that's it no more hide-and-seek-tug-of-war kind of love.
The minor characters was adorable too, like Aine and Rian, they make the whole story more interesting. The revelations--ahh, my favorite part of all--are fanciful. And don't forget the setting--Ireland--though, I haven't known what kind of place it was, Leigh would make you ‘be’ in that place by her words.
Overall it was a fun read, Oh and I forgot the cover, It.Was.Really.Stunning! Can’t wait for the next book, thanks for making us part of this blog tour :)

Thanks for the review. There is nothing worse than a book that drags. It is really good to know that this book has good pacing and good character development.
ReplyDeleteI had a really hard time getting into this story. I thought the writing was well done but overall something about it didn't work for me.
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited to read this!! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
