It's also quite surprising that even though this book rated low for you, it still managed to be thought provoking. It's disappointing to know that the multiple POVs was not seamless enough, but at least this one delivered a realistic story. Lovely review as always, Dea. :)Sarahbotbonkershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13123294587189819129noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1647063892586497653.post-27008063557106149472014-08-13T13:13:45.210-04:002014-08-13T13:13:45.210-04:00While I can't honestly say I enjoy reading boo...While I can't honestly say I enjoy reading books like these, I do appreciate them and are glad they are written. And I agree that multi-POV books can be tricky -- sometimes I can't tell the characters apart, and other times, I really prefer one POV to the others..
Jen @ YA Romantics
Jenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04756695137600895936noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1647063892586497653.post-35588364665699756402014-08-12T09:30:58.887-04:002014-08-12T09:30:58.887-04:00I have no problems with multiple POVs when they ar...I have no problems with multiple POVs when they are nicely done and when I can make difference between the narrators but it's often not like this. So yeah I understand how you felt here. Still, when there are 4 POVs, it's kinda normal. I saw this book being praised on Goodreads but it has quite a low rating average. I actually have it on my tablet so will end up reading it for sure one day. Fab review, Dea! :)Lolahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00239617000942734999noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1647063892586497653.post-4317100600623717832014-08-11T13:58:48.182-04:002014-08-11T13:58:48.182-04:00I agree with Carmel, it is so important to really ...I agree with Carmel, it is so important to really pull off those multiple POVs, it really can make or break a book.
I am sorry this wasn't more. I like Texas as a setting, but I'm still not sold on this one. Off to GoodReads I go to read a couple more reviews. Thanks for the insight!
